IR
Learner
:
Another clever little gadget which is due to arrive any day now
is the IR2 Infrared CLONER. It has
been designed to learn the 'Record' and 'STOP' commands from most infra-red
remote controls. This makes affordable some useful surveillance or remote
control applications into the reach of all Comfort customers. By connecting
a Comfort output to the cloner as a trigger signal, the VCR can switch
into record for as long as you wish. It could also be used to switch a
CD player ON to play 'sound effects' to simulate an occupied house or
you could use it to phone in remotely to record a TV program that you
didn't quite have time to program before leaving home in a hurry.
