The C-Bus Data Cable is a unique colour coded 4 pair Cat-
egory 5 UTP LAN cable for use with the C-Bus Control &
Management System and the Clipsal HomeMinder Home
Automation System.
The cable has a mains rated pink outer sheath making it easy
to distinguish from other voice and data cables in the instal-
lation,thus preventing mis-wiring between systems.The inner
cable consists of four unshielded twisted pairs (UTP)pro-
viding a high data rate capability,immunity to induced noise
from external sources and superior crosstalk performance.
The C-Bus Data Cable is fully compliant with the category 5
standard (AS3080-96)and the applicable standards in TS-008.
C-Bus Category 5 UTP Data Cable is recommended for use
in all C-Bus installations,especially projects where large
cable runs are used on single C-Bus networks.
Clipsal C-BUS lighting products are the probably best
type of lighting systems to use with Comfort. Clipsal
and Cytech work closely together to produce the most compelling
integration combination available today. Comfort communicates
with the C-BUS components using the [UCMCBUS]
module.
Installers are encouraged to attend the Clipsal courses
to familiarise themselves with the installation, programming
and commissioning of Clipsal CBUS products.
