Contacts require 20mm hole drilled into the door and frame. Normally Closed contact is across the silver screws, the brass screws are just used as junctions for the EOL resistors or tamper circuit. Bezel is often sunk into the wood using a wood chisel. Do not install in damp locations, severe corrosion will result in weeks and can creep up the cable eating it away.

Comfort zones can be used to trigger a response when a zone opens or closes, this could switch and external light on when the door is opened and switch the light off when entering the property, etc.
