The Scion PRO-6000 series
may be used to extend a wide range of multimedia equipment using almost
any type of twisted pair cable. Applications include but are not limited
to set-top boxes such as Analogue and Digital TV decoders, DVD and VHS players,
Hi-Fi and a host of other devices having Infra-Red control facilities. 
The PRO-6000 extenders have a robust data pass capability with extended
range to 60ft (28metres) which is transparent to the device controlling
protocol and will transfer the IR data, composite video and stereo audio
over distances greater than 300m. Standard installation requires one power
adapter at the transmitter end. Local power may be required for the receiver
over greater distances.
Adapters to convert the SCART to standard RCA (Phono) connections are
available to suit displays without SCART inputs.
Scion Technology Ltd designs and manufacturers a wide range of products
for distribution of multimedia signals using twisted pair cable. This may
be industry standard computer networking cable CAT5e and CAT6 or traditional
CW1308 telephone cable. The PRO-6000 utilises proven technology used
in the manufacture of high end products and systems installed in Bank Financial
Trading Rooms, large corporate and high occupancy office buildings, hotels,
hospitals, schools, colleges and more.
Provision systems incorporate all the features currently offered
by traditional coaxial broadband installations but with greater flexibility
to move television sets and other viewing and listening equipment around
a building. And provide for multi-point remote control of satellite decoders,
VCRs, DVDs and other devices usually cabled into a dedicated location.
By centrally locating all of these devices in a closet or study, home-owners
can now patch into any data outlet and take complete control from any
room
in the building using standard infra-red handsets. There are also two
return path sockets to allow for control and viewing of devices located
away from the central hub.

Low Cost Solution and Modular
The systems unique design provides for an entry level cost installation
by simply back - back connection of a single Scart transmitter and a single
Scart receiver as shown below. These two components will provide full
video, stereo audio and IR command for a single zone installation of Digital
Terrestrial, Satellite or Cable Television.
In the event that the home owner wishes to upgrade this setup, both components
are compatible with the PRO-6000 switch system, therefore eliminating
further expense on redundant product.
PRO-6001 Scart Receiver
(Composite Video, Stereo Audio and Universal Infra Red Extender - Required
for each Remote Room TV set)
The PRO-6001 receiver has been designed to connect directly into a TV
SCART socket providing high quality video and stereo audio signals, plus
phantom power from the PRO-6000 hub located remotely in a home study or
closet. The infra-red detector eye plugs into the receiver via a small
jack socket and may be placed on or adjacent to the TV. A standard RJ45
patch lead connects the PRO-6001 to a convenient data socket.
The PRO-6001 is fully compatible with the 6002 SCART transmitter and
6005 RCA (Phono) transmitter and may be used as a stand-alone pair with
either to extend almost any set-top box device over just one data outlet.
For example, a Satellite decoder may be located adjacent to the dish feeder
IF cable and using the PRO-6004 may be controlled and viewed from any
room in the home.
PRO-6002 Scart Transmitter
(Composite Video, Stereo Audio and Universal Infra Red Extender - typically
used for a remotely sited DVD, VCR, SAT Receiver)
The PRO-6002 transmitter has been designed to plug directly into the SCART
output of a DVD, VHS or similar device from where it will transmit high
quality video and stereo audio signals to the PRO-6000 hub for selection
by other users connected to the hub, allowing them to control and view
from other rooms in the home. Phantom power is sent from the PRO-6000
hub. An infra-red detector eye is supplied with each transmitter which,
has a self-adhesive pad to cover the set-top box IR emitter LED. This
connects to the PRO-6002 via a small jack socket. A standard RJ45 patch
lead connects the PRO-6002 to a convenient data socket.
The PRO-6002 is fully compatible with the 6002 SCART transmitter and
6005 RCA (Phono) transmitter and may be used as a stand-alone pair with
either to extend almost any set-top box device over just one data outlet.
For example, a Satellite decoder may be located adjacent to the dish feeder
IF cable and using the PRO-6004 may be controlled and viewed from any
room in the home.
PRO-6004 Phono Receiver
The PRO-6004 receiver has been designed to connect to display devices
without SCART inputs such as Plasmas and TFTs, using RCA (Phono) cables
to receiving high quality video and stereo audio signals, plus phantom
power from the PRO-6000 hub located remotely in a home study or closet.
The infra-red detector eye (included) plugs into the receiver via a small
jack socket and may be placed on or adjacent to the TV. A standard RJ45
patch lead connects the PRO-6004 to a convenient data socket.
The PRO-6004 is fully compatible with the PRO-6002 SCART transmitter and
PRO6005 RCA (Phono) transmitter and may be used as a stand-alone pair
with either to extend almost any set-top box device over just one data
outlet. For example, a Satellite decoder may be located adjacent to the
dish feeder IF cable and using the PRO-6004 may be controlled and viewed
from any room in the home.
PRO-6010 TV Tuner Module (for Analogue TV Distribution with PRO-6000
- BBC1, BBC2, ITV, C4, C5) (£650.00 + VAT)
The PRO-6010 is complimentary to the PRO-6000 distribution hub for installations
where several rooms in a home share a single Satellite Digital Decoder.
The unit contains five (5) high-grade TV tuners which may be pre-tuned
and set to output five Terrestrial TV channels for connection to the PRO-6000
hub. Typically in the UK this may be BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Ch4 and Ch5 such
that these channels are available in all home locations while the Satellite
Decoder is being used for other channel viewing. This unit is delivered
complete with five (5) leads for connection to the PRO-6020 Splitter:
Note: This unit is not required if you do not need Analogue TV
in the remote rooms.
Pro-0201 - Infrared Remote Control
Infrared Handset for changing chanels in the remote room. Alternatively
you can use Pronto to send the codes.
