Comfort 8001, the Intelligent Home & Office System is Year 2000 Compliant and has been since the product was first introduced in 1995. The system works correctly for all dates until the Year 9999. Comfort 8000 and PageWatch operate a four-digit calendar year and make use of this four-digit calendar year in leap year calculations. The calendar year will properly roll over to "2000" at midnight on December 31, 1999. The leap year will also be correctly identified in the year 2000 as a leap year and the calendar will advance from Feb. 28, 2000 to Feb. 29, 2000. Thermostats, zone expansion modules, and other controllers which do not use the calendar year, will not be affected by the year 2000 change. CS-Xpress local programming PC software obtains the calendar year for display purposes from the PC's clock/calendar and is dependent upon the PC. Additionally, for countries in the northern hemisphere who operate 'daylights savings time' (DST), Comfort can be configured to automatically advance or retard the clock by using a response running in the time program. For the UK, this is set as default using Response 90 in Time Program 16 to take place on 2AM on the last Sunday in March and October, making DST clock setting redundant. |
